A student who fails for the first time to meet either the GPA or 67% SAP requirements will be placed on warning status for one term. If SAP requirements are not met at the end of the warning term, the student will be on aid suspension. Students failing the 150% requirement go immediately to suspension without a warning term. Students who file a SAP appeal can be restored to aid eligibility if the appeal is approved by the College Financial Aid Office. When appealing, students must clearly state what caused the suspension and must also clearly indicate what has changed that will now allow the student to succeed.

Appeals are encouraged if: Extenuating circumstances exist (i.e., student's serious illness or accident; death, accident or serious illness in the immediate family; other mitigating circumstances), or the student has successfully completed one degree and is attempting another.
